In celebration of an equally confused time, I present to you a figure who was, well, um, not confused in any way other than his name.

(a) love for learning
(b) filial piety
(c) love between siblings
(d) respect for elders
(e) the Middle Way
(f) harmony in political and social relations

As Chinese descendents, have we followed any of these?

I reckon his teachings makes short, simple sense. Something's missing though. It says nothing about friends other than "social relations". Thanks to these 4 friends for making it better this time round.

Chunny and I went to Coffee Bean for two nights - thanks for the company Chun and for the latte ;) although you had to study for your exam on Monday. You were right to wonder when it all started because we couldn't seem to recall or pinpoint that moment. But we agreed, what matters is how comfortable this friendship feels and cherish it no matter what life throws at us.

August (I know you'll read this eventually), sometimes I forget what it feels like to talk to old friends. You reminded me of how lucky I am for having friends who pick me up regardless of how many months we haven't really had a decent conversation. Haha.. thanks for thinking I'm not an idiot when I am in so many ways.

To Qijian who is loyal and lifts my mood everyday with his sarcastic humour - I'm glad for your company and funny euphemisms and of course, our dear friend Windy :) Truth be told, I was surprised you regard me as one of your closest buddies but at the same time I'm grateful for that, because I've come to regard you as one too.

Zhungyi who brings me out for lunch, digs at my panda-ish stature, roams around finding CDs and keeping pace in the park although I'm frustratingly slow - had a wild time blasting music all the way to Pete's. Grew to love Blink 182. From different worlds we come, different friends, sometimes the most different perspectives, but if it wasn't for that dreaded Math class we wouldn't have grown to love them dumplings and exchanging insults.

Extremely sappy, but straight from the heart. Thank you for driving my weekend :)
