Those silly things

And so my friend, the times have changed,
Not us but the circumstances in which
we have to live with.

I told you I hate change but
you taught me how to go with it
and maybe take a step back and
really consider how much we've
been through together.

Night after night I sit and listen
to the songs we both know
creating solo the silly things
that use to take the both of us
a few months back.

For all your determination and focus
and what you call my inner strengths
we have taught,
perhaps,
something the other have come to
know and respect for all
our differences
in the magnitude
of our late night
friendship.
