Holidays are here! FINALLY!
I finished my last exam on Wednesday. Sigh. Disappointing stats assignment results. 73% - ok for undergraduate, bottom of the pile for postgrad if that was my overall mark! :/ So the first night after exams I was feeling kinda sick.
Today I met up with Ben (my supervisor) to do a bit of piloting (experiments, not planes). He said I did pretty well for the contemporary essay. I hope pretty well means at least 80%. He kindly explained to me about the changes I can make to improve myself. Although grammatically correct, I have problems with my expression and the way I say things. Anyways, he took a load off my mind and was really great about it. He said I'm High Distinction material but all we have to do now is focus on my writing style. He suggested that I do my thesis in sections and he will check each one over and over again to make sure I do well in expression.
How did I get so lucky?
Hmm.. back to the main point - we did not get to do any of the stuff we set out to do. There were renovators and movers all around the Swin-Psyche lab. Everything was a mess. However, we made a list of things I have to do next and will meet up Tuesday or Wednesday to go over the experiment before I leave for Perth on Thursday.
Looking forward to this trip! Although Zhung will be going home on Saturday, we've decided to hang out for the whole of Friday - you promise Fremantle, apple strudel and italian food, don't put me aeroplane hor.. otherwise no more dumplings for you! :P Also looking forward to see Vera too! A lot of things to say.. worries to admit.. secrets to share.. I can't wait!
Then I'll be back in Melbourne.. Results out on the 27th!! :'(
I'll be drawing up my advertisement to collect participants and perhaps start on the actual experimentation if people sign up early. Will also do some volunteer work here and there.. Hopefully one of the two internships will work out too. Volunteering for MASCA NCG from 30th-4th July. Rosanne's and Melissa's bday bash on the 1st. After that, a trip to Sydney with Tsu Ann, Chandra and others from 8th-13th July. Another break to look forward to. We got cheap tickets (150 return) and free accommodation - how rockin' is that? ;)
Post-Sydney will be filled with more volunteer work and data collection. :) And most importantly, the 7th Harry Potter book!!!!! :D :D :D :P
And I was just complaining to Bel about having a boring holiday.. :P Not anymore I guess.. Hehe..
So what are your holiday plans?
