Here's Annie (in pink) and Kim (I don't want my face on the internet!) having banana pancake.
I only managed a second shot and they're already halfway through.
Here's Betty (housemate and fellow bandsman) feeling extremely bored (hungry?) looking at the other two.
After lunch, I decided to go to QV to go through my readings for the case study I'm working on. Here's some shots of the place for all of you who are still wondering what the place looks like, and some of my stuff on one of the tables there.
To my delight, I was handsomely rewarded for my effort. Notice the bold effect there. Why? Guess who came up for a chat? My super-cute, super-friendly Singaporean Behavioural Neuroscience tutor, Jeremy Lim!! I almost fainted with the shocking encounter. I was concentrating on my work. Really, if I wasn't I would've seen him straight away. Incidentally I didn't. And all I saw was a pair of shoes approaching my table.
J : So hardworking ah?
I looked up then and thought. OMG! It's HIM! Of course, I tried my very best to conceal what was going on in my mind. Did that fail or what? Now where's that anti-blusher thing when you need it? I went red in the face! My offer still stands for the person who invents anti-blusher. I've been waiting to talk to him every lab class and now I see him outside class I could barely say anything. I just gapped at the guy like a gold fish!
Me : Errr.. just doing some work for my case study.
J : Oh. Which subject?
Me : Personal and Social Development.
J : Come again?
Me : Personal and Social Development. We're suppose to analyze a person's developmental experiences.
J : Oh ok. When is it due?
Me : On Wednesday lor.. torture.
J : Ohh.. You alone ah?
Me : Yalor.. easier this way. Less distraction.
J : I see.
Me : You shopping?
J : Yeap. *Heaves up two bags to show me.
Me : Wah.. just for yourself?
J : Ahaha.. ya, I know. It's a lot.
At this point, I laughed and couldn't think of anything else to say! Dumbest thing to do really. Because an awkward silence followed. Suddenly everything else seemed louder. The baby in the pram crying. Ditsy teenagers laughing their heads off at some random thing. Mothers carrying their shopping bags.
J : Umm.. ok. I guess I'll leave you to your work. You take care. I'll see you around.
Me : *Oh No! He's leaving. Oh ok. You take care too. Bye!
LOL! Total flop.
ANYWAYS, after a while I began to feel tired. Approx. 5pm I decided to pack up and wind down somewhere..
..with a visit to BORDERS!! Haha.. Not surprising. I love to hangout here, even on assignment inflicted weekends.
And I can never resist one of these!! Yes, this is the latest book I'm reading. As recommended by Silver Vanguard (thanks!), 1st to Die by James Patterson. I finished it just now. And it's a good book. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. But first, assignments!
Around 7, just before they closed I went out and decided to stroll around while waiting for Betty and Annie to go to dinner and Nandos. In my rush to get to Borders, I walked by some pretty interesting artwork. Chain-mesh replicas of animals. Can you guess what they are?
Yeap.. rhino, giraffe and lion.
This is my favourite! A purple hippo!
At this point a group of Hong Kees decided to have some fun with it. A guy took a picture of another girl actually sticking her head inside the mouth. LOL! The silly things people do. :)
I finally captured "Waltzing Matilda" on the famous "Music Clock" in Melbourne Central. My first video on the web. Hopefully it works fine. Enjoy!
