The Sky

We always talk about life been taken away from us and yet, at a certain point in life we have all taken life for granted.

Everytime I feel like screaming, it's time to go to the park. While walking, you inevitably look up at the sky. It's blue. Lots of clouds. And it seems to go on and on. You try to take it all in, but you can never stretch far enough. Then you wonder how big this world is, and how many people are living on it. When I think about this, I no longer feel like pulling my brains out. The sky is kinda like a guide, to show us how much we actually have, and how much more we can gain. The possibilities are endless. Sometimes you can reach only so far, but if you'd taken the time to do so, then it is more than what most people would've done. Even when you think you can't reach any further, perhaps you fall back. Maybe you put on extra strength. While you may see other clouds breeze by, in the end it all comes together. Raindrops, for a while, a day, a week. But the rain stops, the sun peeps out. And the sky - the sky is still there.

The Sky

Whose turn is it to walk the stars today? The sky.
It gets a lead out of its pocket and whistles by.

All the dreams you hoped to see
when you closed your eyes in vain,
come waltzing by on a big leash
sometimes called the milkyway.

But you're asleep. And a dream has no eyes,
no ears, not even a face recording this beauty.

Walking the stars on a skyline, however
is every dreamers houndful duty.
