Bless the people who go to the park. They make the idea of exercise so much more interesting than it really is, deep waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay deep down inside. :o
Consequently I end up observing people instead of paying attention to what I was doing (which is just walking anyways) everytime. Here are the peeps who are so darn intriguing :
Uncle & Aunty Angmo who are the only Causeys who exercise at Bulatan Park. Uncle Angmo wear a blue, yellow side-striped shirt with matching pants while Aunty is seen in various free charity T-shirts or a white one with the words "Saigon, Vietnam" across the back + black tights.
Mr. Muscle-Moustache who is at least 45 but is by far the fastest around the track. Adorned with his grey singlet and really really really (I can't really stress how really really is) short track pants, all the aunties in the park (I think my mom does too although she denies it) are just waiting for those threatening-to-spill muscles to do their work.
Mr. Hike Short-Pants (eerily like Spongebob Squarepants without the puny arms) always gets hassled by the numerous AhPeks and AhPaks. Very accidentally, I kinda well.. overheard *ahem* what the fuss was about.
"Where your ge-fleng?"
"HAR?! How old? No ge-fleng? LAI.. uncle got see sui char boh, dun say din chio you lah.."
"Mai pai seh lah.. Char boh not sui nevermind you know? Can cook can nice, can liaw lah"
"Eh eh eh.. hamiksu lu lang? Ee mai jiu mai la.. lu lang bak jiu bak dua dua.. ee hansem boy ey zhai boh? Ma na ey chuay beh tiok ge-fleng?"
The poor lad.
Miss Yellow, Red, Blue are two sisters and a friend who are the most frequent cyclists at the park. They zoom around weaving in between the joggers, walkers, runners and waddlers (like me) yakking loudly. Miss Red is the loudest while Miss Blue has the straightest posture I have ever seen.
Mr. AhPek and various other uncles, are Dad's best companions. Mr. Ah Pek is 74 this year and is still up and running like a wild horse. *Pauses momentarily and thinks about Horsey*
*Realizes she is late for dinner with friends and still reeks of P-A-R-K*
