Watching Steve and Rick Jin play reminded me of those months the gals and I caught every single game in every single tournament in 2001. Yes, we worshipped Team A. And coz Pei Min and lan zhong are both so near, Hwan and Vera have spent several nights over when we would rehash every moment and every basket. The team tonight displayed great teamwork, of which I have only seen more of when Heng Sung and Co. played. The year after that (2002) produced a couple of skilled players who thought they owned the court. They would've painted the floor with their names if they could, trust me.
Like his brother Roger, Steve has a superb three point shot. He is no longer the timid boy of 13 back in 2002 but a strong and resourceful person. Plus, a couple of inches (heads?) taller. Vocal and yet polite, he's turned out to be a fine young man. Vera would be proud to watch him play as did Aunty Helen :D
Dear gals, do you still remember these fine gentlemen?

That's more or less the line up~ Bless my memory for useless facts :P Wish I had a scanner tho.. :) I have some really cool pictures taken at the PeiMin court and at Indoor. Got to know these guys and vice versa. Heh.. did some pretty crazy stuff.. *Hint Hwan & Vera & Juk & Fen* Wakakkaka.. :P
I remember, on the day they had to leave for the State Championships 2001, was also the day of the Band's State Level Comp. The team dropped by to support us before leaving to Sibu. It was really touching to have our support returned. :) They remained undefeated until..... their very last game at Indoor. We were shocked as were they. However, they went in as a team, and came out as a team. Described as "well-disciplined and courteous on the court" by the papers but always "spirited, humourous and friendly gentlemen" to us. It was a pleasure cheering (screaming our heads off, lungs out, voices hoarse?) for them. Cheers guys~
P/S: Ugh.. why does this post sound so dead? *Goes searching for inspiration*
